The philosophy of the artificial intelligence

The science on the creation of the artificial intelligence interested the attention of the philosophers. With the appearance of the first intellectual systems the fundamental problems about the person and knowledge were touched. On one hand they are connected directly with this science and on the other hand it brings some kind of chaos to it.

Among the investigators of the AI, there is no dominant point of view on the criteria of the intellect, the systematization of the solving tasks and aims; there is no even the unique definition of this science.

The most contradicted discussions in philosophy are caused by the possibility of thinking of the creation made by the person. The question "can the machine think?" influenced the investigators creating the science that investigates the design of the human intellect. Two main points of view in it have the names of the hypothesis of the strong and weak artificial intelligence.

Those who support the idea of the strong AI say that this intellect will be not the model of the intellect but will be the intellect in the meaning of the world that we understand it now.

Those who support the idea of the weak intellect prefer to consider the programs only as the instrument that allows solving the certain tasks that don't require the full spectrum of the human cognitive abilities.

The moral problems of philosophy also occupy the important place.

1. Artificial intelligence is the sphere of computer technologies that investigates the formalization of tasks that remind the tasks solved by people. The algorithm of the tasks solving is unknown beforehand. Sometimes there are also the tasks with the images taking that are traditionally included into the sphere of artificial intelligence investigation.

2. Scientists coincide in one point that the most complicated problem is not the imitation of the brain work but learning the principles of its work.

3. Those who support the idea of artificial intelligence creation say that any intellect can be regulated and controlled. Besides it will be programmed to help people and not to harm them.

4. The modern science of the Artificial intelligence (AI) gives four main principles of investigation that are the logical, the structural, the evolutional and the simulation principles.

5. With the development of technologies people considered the mechanical creatures to be something more than just the simple toys. The literature depicted the fears of people that humanity can be substituted by its own creation. The novel about Frankenstein is considered to be the first science-fiction work that depicted this problem.
