The history of robot

The first sketches of the human-like robot were made by Leonardo da Vinci. And in 1495 he showed the detailed model of the mechanical knight that was able to see, move hands and head and to open the face guard. The project was made on base of the human proportions body investigation.

From the beginning of 18th century the first messages about the machines with the features of intellect appeared in the press. However in the majority of case it was the simple cheating. The live people or the trained animals were hiding inside the mechanisms.

In 1898 the first radio-controlled ship was invented. And in the end of 19th century the Russian engineer Chebyshev made the mechanism that had the high practicability and in future it played an important role in the sphere of robotics.

In the beginning of 20th century there were already investigations on the creation of different combat units in the secret military laboratories.

In 1910 the young American and engineer from Ohio Charles Kettering proposed to use the flying machines without people inside them.

These and many other investigations and researches were the base for the creation of the universal robotics that invented the equipment that helps people in their every-day life till nowadays. But nowadays people are working on the creation of people-like robots that would substitute people in the dangerous places of work and will help people in their house work.

1. Artificial intelligence is the sphere of computer technologies that investigates the formalization of tasks that remind the tasks solved by people. The algorithm of the tasks solving is unknown beforehand. Sometimes there are also the tasks with the images taking that are traditionally included into the sphere of artificial intelligence investigation.

2. Scientists coincide in one point that the most complicated problem is not the imitation of the brain work but learning the principles of its work.

3. Those who support the idea of artificial intelligence creation say that any intellect can be regulated and controlled. Besides it will be programmed to help people and not to harm them.

4. The modern science of the Artificial intelligence (AI) gives four main principles of investigation that are the logical, the structural, the evolutional and the simulation principles.

5. With the development of technologies people considered the mechanical creatures to be something more than just the simple toys. The literature depicted the fears of people that humanity can be substituted by its own creation. The novel about Frankenstein is considered to be the first science-fiction work that depicted this problem.
