AI and science fiction

In the science fiction the artificial intelligence is usually depicted as the power that tries to conquer humanity or as the serving humanoid. The inevitability of the artificial intelligence ruling in the world that lost the human control is not supported by such science fiction writers as Isaac Asimov and Kevin Warwick.

There are a lot of future versions painted by the authors of science fiction. According to one of them the authors give the picture of the humaneness of the human being in the brain of which the computer was introduced. Another problem is the machines that get the humaneness with getting the artificial intelligence into the memory of which the information of the human brain was copied.

Some science fiction writers also depict the consequences of the AI appearance that will probably cause the sharp dramatic changes in the society. Such period is called the technological singularity.

The image of the artificial intelligence is also very interesting. Usually it took the form of the robot or the machine. Nowadays there are more trends to depict it in the form of the hologram of the little girl or the woman. Sometimes the artificial intelligence also has the look of the android or the humanoid that serves to people. There are also books and films where the artificial intelligence is described as the unique machine or the memory card that rules all robots with the help of the internet and radio-waves.

The topic of the artificial intelligence and robots always interested writers from all parts of the world that successfully described them in their work.

1. Artificial intelligence is the sphere of computer technologies that investigates the formalization of tasks that remind the tasks solved by people. The algorithm of the tasks solving is unknown beforehand. Sometimes there are also the tasks with the images taking that are traditionally included into the sphere of artificial intelligence investigation.

2. Scientists coincide in one point that the most complicated problem is not the imitation of the brain work but learning the principles of its work.

3. Those who support the idea of artificial intelligence creation say that any intellect can be regulated and controlled. Besides it will be programmed to help people and not to harm them.

4. The modern science of the Artificial intelligence (AI) gives four main principles of investigation that are the logical, the structural, the evolutional and the simulation principles.

5. With the development of technologies people considered the mechanical creatures to be something more than just the simple toys. The literature depicted the fears of people that humanity can be substituted by its own creation. The novel about Frankenstein is considered to be the first science-fiction work that depicted this problem.
